Hi quilting friends,
Our next meeting will be on Monday, February 15, 2025. We will meet in our regular area to tie, cut, sew, sort, and everything else we do. We hope to see you there.
Reminder: we are locked out of the parking lot behind KMVT. Our parking will be in the front from now on. BUT, we may park on both sides of the front of the building, north and south. You will need to walk across the lawn to access the Community Room door from the south side.
We are so happy that some of our quilts-to-be-bound are being taken. We still have some that have been trimmed, so that makes a quick start for binders.
Our quilt top fat quarter challenge is still in the planning stages. Details will come in a newsletter once we firm up our plans.
We received this nice note from Cindy Schimdt of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, the folks who make bunk beds for kids that need them. “SHP wants to thank you for the quilts made and delivered to us. Quilts are an important part of our bedding. Those kids eyes light up with those warm blankets on their new beds. We can not thank you enough for you generosity.”
Camille is working to complete a recipe for those who liked her scones. It will be available at CQ when she’s happy with it.
Reminder: we are not starting new lap-sized adult quilts for a month or two, That will give us time to catch up backing our grand supply of that size.
We will be meeting in our workroom at KMVT on the first Wednesday and the third Monday of each month. Our times are from 10:00 AM until 3:30 PM.
