Hi quilting friends,
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. We will meet in our regular meeting area to tie, cut, sew, sort, and everything else we do. We hope to see you there.
PARKING: We are locked out of the lot behind KMVT. Our parking will be in the front from now on. BUT, we may park on both sides of the front of the building, north and south.
We have stopped making new lap quilts for adults for about two or three months. We will let you know when we are feeling the need again. Youth quilts, which use the same size range, are still needed.
There are a lot of quilts to be bound, too. Many have been trimmed, so that makes a quick start for binders.
Our quilt top fat quarter challenge is still in the planning stages. If you have a favorite pattern for fats, could you share with us?. Details will come in a following newsletter once we firm up our plans.
We have lots of quilts finished up to the kitted stage; tops, backs, binding, and batting. We need more folks to tie and those with longarm machines to quilt for us. Can you help?
We donate to Gifts of Love every year to enable folks living in care facilities to provide gifts for their loved ones. We received this thank-you note from them: Thank you for your continued support in 2024. With your help, we were able go to five facilities and help over 210 residents.
We will be meeting in our workroom at KMVT on the first Wednesday and the third Monday of each month. Our times are from 10:00 AM until 3:30 PM.
